The Kings Mountain Art Fair is run and staffed entirely by volunteers, most of whom are local. Past residents, friends, and enthusiastic supporters also volunteer. Several chairmen are dedicated to managing specific operations within the Fair. We are fortunate to have over 400 volunteers each year.

Zero Waste

The Kings Mountain Art Fair has worked to reduce its environmental impact and has recently taken it to a new level by focusing on a goal of "Zero Waste," sending as little refuse to a landfill as possible. Each year has seen an increasing reduction in waste sent to the landfill.

Zero Waste is a fair-wide effort. All food sold at the fair is served in compostable or recyclable products and the map to the Fair is printed on recycled paper. All fair volunteers are encouraged to work towards the goal. Zero Waste volunteers help fairgoers divert most of their refuse to composting or recycling bins.
